What was it about Kentucky? Why them, and why commit early?
“Coach Cal was great. The way he and Coach (Kenny) Payne recruited me, I just felt like I couldn’t go wrong going there. The fan support is amazing. It’s the marquee college basketball school. I felt like, going there, I couldn’t go wrong. And, of course, the track record of point guards that he’s sent to the NBA — why wouldn’t you want to go there if you were in my position?”
What was Calipari’s recruiting message to you?
“He just made me a priority. He always says that he thinks this could be one of his best classes ever, which is saying a lot coming from him with all of the guys he’s gotten in the last few years. He just wanted me to come in and try to run a team — be the next great Kentucky point guard.”
We spoke in April, when UK wasn’t recruiting you yet, and you still knew a whole lot about that program and John Calipari. Was he someone you followed before he even got involved with your recruitment.
“Yeah, I followed him. I really followed every school whether they recruited me or not. I just like to have knowledge about the game. I don’t want to be, I guess, out of it, when people bring something up. I just like to have a head’s up on everything.”

From what I have seen of Fox and his game, he just might be the best point guard Cal has had the privilege of coaching. He is the real deal. Now if we can only get Monk to go with him we will be assured of strong guard play again next season.

He's a very solid outside shooter that's for sure!
