Looks like it's for sure Murray will be ready for classes on time.
Jamal Murray will enroll in classes at UK instead of trying out for Canada’s Olympic qualifying team, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca.
Enrolling at UK was the expected route for Murray, who committed to the Wildcats earlier this summer after reclassifying from 2016. The Ontario native could have participated in Canada’s tryouts for the Olympic qualifying team, but if he made the squad it would have interfered with his coursework at Kentucky.
UK’s fall semester of classes begins Aug. 26, and the FIBA Americas qualifying tournament that Canada will play in runs until Sept. 12.
