Since Romar got fired at Washington its back to MO with the Porters. Sr. will be an assistant coach for Cuanzo Martin who left the job at Cal. to be the new coach at MO. Jr decommitted at WA and will now play for MO. His 2 sisters play for the women's BB team. His younger brother will move up a year and graduate so he can play with his older brother. Nothing like selling yourself to the higher bidder. What if Jr. had talked a couple of these young kids to sign with him there? [ 03-16-2017, 07:18 PM: Message edited by: Bama Cat ]

Did Porter sign a letter of intent? If so, Washington doesn't have to release him.

I read an ESPN article the other day that said Washington had already released him. His dad was an assistant coach to Romar and since Romar was fired, Porter no longer has a job and is joining Counzo Martin in Missouri. The Porters are originally from Missouri and are returning home so their two sons will now be in Missouri uniforms next season. [ 03-18-2017, 07:50 AM: Message edited by: SCWC ]

When a coach is fired any player on that team can ask for their release.
