Our freshman class is being compared to the Fab Five but feel we are going to be "much" better that they ever thought of being especially if we get Wiggins. I never did understand the fascination with the Fab Five. They really never did accomplish more than winning a moderate amount of basketball over a span of two seasons. We seem to forget they never even won a big ten title let alone a National title. If we lose 9 games next year like they did in their freshman season it would be a down year and think most everyone would agree.

Why are they even comparing this group to The Fab Five???

As high school players all five members of the Fab Five were rated in the top 100 of high school prospects in 1991, and four were in the top ten. Chris Webber was ranked #1, Juwan Howard was ranked #3, Jalen Rose was ranked #6, Jimmy King was ranked #9, and Ray Jackson was ranked #84. All but Jackson participated in the McDonald's All-American Game in 1991.[16]

According to ESPN Recruiting.... With Randle's announcement, head coach John Calipari now has five of the top 11 ranked players in the ESPNU 100 committed to Kentucky, and six of the top 18.

That is a heck of a lot stronger than 3 0f top 10 with 2 more in top 100...

Add to that by position... #1 PG, #1 SG, #1 C, #1 PF, #3 SF, and #9 PF, which equates down the line as the #'s 3, 5, 6, 7, 11 and 18 over all players in the nation....

I dare say Wooden never had that much talent in one year even with the support of his #1 booster.......

Fab Who??
