The one thing all coachs know when they play Kentucky in Rupp the fans will be supportive and loud.
LSU coach Johnny Jones was glad his team played so well to beat Mississippi State on Wednesday, but he also knew with a game at No. 18 Kentucky on Saturday that the Tigers (16-9, 7-6 SEC)had little time to savor the win.
“A lot of times, you want to enjoy a game 24 hours, and you get back at it. I told them that they can just enjoy this game for a little bit tonight, but they quickly have to turn their attention to Lexington,” said Jones after the win. “Kentucky is a team that we had success against early in the year. They had a setback at home in their last outing (against Florida). They went on the road last night and played extremely well at Ole Miss.
“It will be a great atmosphere in Lexington in Rupp Arena on Saturday and we have to be prepared for it. You have to start preparing yourself tonight for what will take place on Saturday.”
