Todays win is now the gold standard for UK and the SEC, and it's not done. I hope it keeps growing to 40 and beyond.

I did not realize that our 2012 team holds the single season record for most team wins at 38. Several teams have won 37 games in one season but only our Cats National Champions in 2012 won 38. I never knew that was the single season win record number of games until today.

I think Cal's Memphis team that finished runner-up in the nation also won 38 games but the NCAA doesn't recognize that record!

I knew Cal had won 38 at Memphis but those were vacated and no longer are in the wins for the school or the NCAA records. Cal is the only coach ever to win 38 games in a season and he has done it twice,at Memphis and Kentucky. Let's hope he sets a totally new record this year with 40-0.
