Things got a little chippy between Kentucky and LSU as the Wildcats crushed the Tigers en route to a 94-77 win.

One thing is for sure and that's neither team has much, if any respect for the other. That was made clear by Tigers enigmatic freshman Ben Simmons, who took a pair of subtle jabs at UK's Wooden (which Simmons is ineligible for) candidate Tyler Ulis.

When asked to describe what makes Ulis great, Simmons told reporters, "If you touch him, it’s a foul." That's an interesting claim since Ulis attempted just four free throws in this game compared to Simmons' 11.

Ok. Math clearly isn't Simmons' strong suit. And while it's not a real class (that I know of anyhow), Point Guard 101 is also something that would probably be affecting Simmons' negative GPA if it were real.

His assessment of Ulis was a D- at best as he claimed that while Ulis was good, Ole Miss' Stefan Moody is a better point guard than him.

Yes, the same Stefan Moody who has 112 turnovers this season compared to 128 assists, practically a 1:1 ratio.

Ulis, he's up to 221 assists this season compared to just 58 turnovers, a ratio of nearly 4:1.

Simmons is a very immature player, and not a leader. He showed absolutely no leadership for his team. He showed no energy, desire, intensity the whole game. I saw it in person and he really seemed to only care about getting his double double. I think the guys will be a very good NBA player, but he has a lot of growing up to do before he leads anybody. I would take Murray ahead of him any day.

Simmons is a tremendous athlete but obviously a punk in real life.

We also cannot forget he is only 18 years old with the world telling him he is the best player in college right now, which has made him arrogant. He will grow up in time.

I don't think Simmons is a punk. I agree that he should be the 1st pick in the draft and he probably let his emotions get the best of him, after the loss. His team got out played and he got out played on that night. It will be a learning experience for him, on how to act after a loss.

Perhaps that's true, but it wasn't that long ago Anthony Davis had the same issues going on. Never did you hear him spout off in an interview like this guy does.

We could see another draft like last years. Karl wasn't touted as the #1 pick by very many people until the end of the season and time for the draft. We all know what happened in the end. Depending on who ends up with the top pick, Simmons could see his status drop a little. There are several good players at different positions out there and the team with #1 may not need him as much as they need another position. Buddy Hield comes to mind plus a player at UK.

Bama, we have 3 players from last years team that are rated by the attached source as top 10 of NBA rookies. To top it off we will have a couple more from this years team that have that talent too.

1. Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves

The winner of the first three Rookie of the Month recognitions in the Western Conference set himself up for a fourth by averaging 21.1 points and 11.8 rebounds in February while shooting 53.7 percent. Those numbers deserve consideration for Player of the Month, not just Rookie of the Month. It's not just a Towns thing for the top newcomer either. Between KAT this season and Wiggins last, a Timberwolf has won seven of the last nine months, a streak interrupted only by Jordan Clarkson (March, 2015) and Rodney Hood (April, 2015).

9. Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns

While several fellow Ladder residents surged in February, Booker fell. Plummeted, actually, as the 3-point fireworks that drove him to No. 6 on Feb. 3 gave way to the harsh reality check of 33.6 percent from the field and 32.7 percent behind the arc for the month. He was still second in the class in 3-point percentage at 38.3, behind Utah's Raul Neto, but any hope of crashing the top 10 in the league were long gone by the time March arrived. Getting back into the top 20 is the new goal. And staying on The Ladder.

10. Willie Cauley-Stein, Sacramento Kings

Cauley-Stein does not exactly storm back into the rankings after a one-week hiatus -- 19.1 minutes and 4.4 rebounds the last five games, although also 64.3 percent from the field in limited opportunities -- but his play for the season as a whole remains at a high level. That plus Stanley Johnson's shoulder injury creates the opening in the absence of flashy recent numbers. WCS is fifth among rookies in blocks, tied for fifth in rebounding, first in shooting, and is defending even though it appears that sort of thing is discouraged in Sacramento.
