ESPN has announced that Brett Musberger will call his final game on 31 Jan. Not a moment too soon! [Big Grin]

I take it you don't like this guy? [Smile]

I don't mind Brent. I'll take him over many other announcers, even though he pronounces Bam's last name as Atta-boy-o.

He don't know what's going on and reports FALSE information every game. I guess ESPN finally seen he wasn't doing a very good job. He used to be great but he is way past his prime.

I was happy to hear he was retiring and feel it is about time. I have not listened to any of his play by play calling for years now and was appalled when the SEC made him their prime football announcer. It is time he hung it up and he will certainly not be missed by me.

Vitale needs to hang up his spurs as well. I would rather listen to fat dog fart than to hear him call a game

I thought he was one of the best in his day. Unfortunately his day has been over for quite a while and almost everyone realized it except him. I wish him a long happy retirement.

Vitale is another one I will not listen too. Time for him to hang it up also.

So what doesn't everyone like about Musburger? I think he has an excellent, made-for-tv voice. He shows enthusiasm, yet doesn't overdo it like Vitale. He seems to have been very biased throughout his career. Sure, he can call someone by the wrong name but I can live with that.
