In NIT action, Ole Miss went into Syracuse and beat the mighty orange by a score of 85 to 80. So much for all the ESPN/CBS people crying about Syracuse being left out of the NCAA field, this game proves they did not deserve to be in the big dance.

I watched a little of that game. Ol Miss was living and dying by the 3, the little I saw of it. Prob why they are in the NIT

Syracuse only played 13 games outside the Carrier Dome and they lost 11 of those. That is one reason the NCAA selection committee left them out of the NCAA tournament. They did beat Duke at home late in the season.
