Yet another outlet has crowned Kentucky as its preseason No. 1 team for the 2018-19 college basketball season.

The 38th edition of the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook, considered by many to be the "bible" of college basketball, joined ESPN and CBS Sports in tabbing the Wildcats preseason No. 1.

It marks the third time in the last eight years under head coach John Calipari that Kentucky begins the year No. 1 and the eighth straight year in the top five according to Blue Ribbon

Kansas, Gonzaga, Duke and Tennessee round out Blue Ribbon's preseason top five. The Atlantic Coast Conference led the way with seven Top 25 teams followed by the Southeastern Conference with six. Auburn (8), Mississippi State (11), LSU (18) and Florida (20) are the other SEC teams included in the Top 25.

In all, Kentucky is set to play 12 games against teams ranked in Blue Ribbon's preseason Top 25: No. 2 Kansas, No. 4 Duke, No. 5 Tennessee (twice), No. 8 Auburn (twice), No. 11 Mississippi State (twice), No. 12 North Carolina, No. 18 LSU and No. 20 Florida (twice).

Kentucky is slated to face three three of the top-five winningest schools in college basketball history during the 2018-19 season in Kansas, North Carolina and Duke, who have combined for 6,624 wins and 14 national championships.
