As the new college hoops season draws closer, another preseason poll has the Kentucky Wildcats coming in at the top spot.

The Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook has unveiled it’s preseason top 25, and it features the Wildcats claiming the No. 1 spot, narrowly edging Kansas. The two teams will clash at Rupp Arena in January, one of 12 top-25 matchups Kentucky will have this year based on this poll.

That includes four top-five clashes, as Duke (4) and Tennessee (5) also cracked the top five.

As for the rest of the SEC, Auburn (8), Mississippi State (11), LSU (18) and Florida (20) cracked the top 25. That would make this the deepest the SEC in quite some time, maybe ever.
