The latest Louisville basketball offer should turn heads on multiple fronts.
On one hand, the Cardinals just extended an offer to the No. 6 overall recruit in the 2022 class, Brandon Huntley-Hatfield. That, in and of itself, it’s exciting news.
Additionally, the Cards extended the offer on the heels of a school up the road telling Huntley-Hatfield that they are no longer interested in him.
Huntley-Hatfield was a Kentucky lean as recently as three weeks ago according to Kentucky Sports Radio.
Kentucky was Huntley-Hatfield’s dream school because his cousin was a Wildcat, Alex Poythress. In that post he also pushed back on reclassification rumors. Even so, many believe Huntley-Hatfield will ultimately become a member of the 2021 recruiting class.
However, as things often go in college basketball recruiting, the tides turned quickly. Additionally, the Cards extended the offer on the heels of a school up the road telling Huntley-Hatfield that they are no longer interested in him.
