So I am already on record saying I can see Cal winning at least 2 Titles at Arkansas.

Here is why I believe that.

1. He is still going to be the #1 High School Recruiter in the land.

2. He is going to have unlimited funds to buy the best players out of the portal. He has three billionaires backing him at Arkansas: John Tyson/Jerry Jones/Walton Family Members

3. He has figured out that a free flowing offense is best. Even UK's half court offense was Top 5 in the nation this year.

4. He is a defensive coach at heart. This year was the exception. His teams are always in the the Top 30 in adjusted defensive efficiency.

That is why I said what I said.

Didn't his free flowing offensive coach just take a job elsewhere? He will have many resources, and perhaps some added motivation to prove he wasn't as bad as he appeared, but there are many teams and coaches that have somewhat similar resources and better coaching skills.
While he claimed to handle the pressure of UK, he has not show the ability handle in-game pressure and adjustments.
Just my $.02

No way in hell he wins a title at Arkansas or anywhere else the rest of his life. He got lucky having a generational talent like Anthony Davis. If not for Davis, Cal still wouldn't have a championship. Cal is just not a championship coach, no matter where he's at.

I don't know if you heard his press conference with Arkansas, but he once again stressed that he's a players-first coach and that's not going to change. He's gonna bring in good talent, fold up, send them to the draft too early, and start all over again the next year.

If Scott Drew is our new coach, I believe Arkansas will win a National Championship before us. Say what you about Cal but everyone knows he can recruit. When you have that much talent, they can go on a run in spite of coaching ability or lack of.

Really, really hope to eat these words.

Yeah, he will actually have MORE resources to manipulate the transfer portal/NIL nightmare to his advantage than he had at Kentucky. And, Arkansas historically has not been a school to worry too much about strict adherence to NCAA regs. They just don't have the scrutiny that UK must endure.

So, I expect Cal's tenure at Arkansas to be a LOT like his tenure at Memphis... shady dealings to get top-notch players that can win a lot of games. And yes, sometimes they will win six straight and get a banner for Bud Walton Arena.

I also expect Arkansas, Alabama, and Tennessee to be the cream of the SEC for the forseeable future. UK will be mid-tier at best under Scott Drew.

Now, if it turns out to be Donovan instead of Drew, I think we will fight our way back to the top-tier. Let's hope it comes true, or we are about to become a football (only) school...

I believe AR will have a better team this year because we are going to lose all but maybe 5 kids on the current roster and incoming roster combined. This will have to be a team made mainly of portal players and maybe someone the recruiters have overlooked. While Cal will get some of this years roster plus some of the recruits who will switch schools. But on the other hand most of the kids on our roster and incoming frosh will be playing at neither school next year. How about that for being decisive???
