When they reviewed Garrison for contact to the face of the UGA player……..The refs decided to make no call on Garrison for forceable contact because he was just trying to “shake” his arm free from being held by the UGA player (with no foul being called on the UGA player by the way). LOL.

That pretty much summed the game up.

I think we've had pretty good officiating all year until this game. So many terrible foul calls and so many monitor reviews. The game was almost unwatchable.

PC,

Agree…..it was painful to watch even if UK would have won. They set “Freedom of Movement” back 15 years in that game.

I am all for being physical but being physical in a legal way. The one thing I will say is Pope should have had UK be just as physical as UGA and commit obvious fouls on every touch. They did that the last 2:30 minutes and got away with it.

Officials were basically saying you can commit obvious egregious fouls and be fine, but if you brush up lightly we are calling it a foul.

I seen an article yesterday where the black, bald referee has been kicked out of the NBA for being a questionable ethics referee. He's a joke. The flop Georgia's white player did was egregious and he was looking right at it, and called the foul on Williams.
39-19 in free-throws is unacceptable. Georgia was the more physical team and got rewarded for it.

Yeah that is Olandis Poole. NBA ended his tenure because games he officiated nearly always beat the point spread. He was never charged but they moved away from him. I would guess he is fixing games and getting paid on the side. Really can't believe that the NCAA/SEC has kept him as a ref.

I mentioned it in my opening post of the "Ugly Game so far" topic. He has been historically one sided against UK.
