Jaxon Robinson is not giving UK much right now. Maybe he is better coming off of the bench. He was dreadful tonight....even passed up what was basically an open layup to pass it to a covered Perry in the corner.

Seems to be playing with Zero Confidence at the moment.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I guess it comes down to personality. Some players thrive coming in and giving the team a spark. Others take it as an insult and fail to add much off the bench.

I trust Pope, but without knowing more, I agree with you. Brea needs to be in the starting lineup.

Never watched BYU play last year but Robinson was 6th man of the year and led them in scoring.

I am much more worried about our defense (and rebounding) than our offense right now. We play soft, and get burned too often off of ball screens.

Right now, our offense is adequate on a bad night, and awesome on a good night. I had hoped for more back-door cuts and pick-and-rolls than we have seen so far, but I guess opposing teams are saying "Nope, you will have to beat us from the arc". So, we will continue to thrive or dive based upon how well we can shoot the three.

But our defense and rebounding? That is all effort and athleticism. Since we are lacking in athleticism vis-a-vis the SEC, we will have to make it up with effort (and IQ).

Tip, that's been my worry about this team all season. I noticed in early games that our defense was not too good and rebounding was bad. I'm surprised it hasn't hurt us more, but any team that plays physical with us is going to have success.

As far as Robinson goes, I think he has been very underwhelming overall. He is giving nothing to the team at this point in regards to defense, scoring, or rebounding. I don't know what's going on with hi, but I hope Pope can figure it out. We need him to be who he was supposed to be in SEC play. We have a brutal stretch ahead of us.

I* agree. Our defense is not up to the chore of stopping anyone. We don't have the big guy we need inside in either of our two bigs. Don't know if he fouled out last for the first time in history buy Williams is very foul proned this year. Between the two bigs we miss too many inside/layup shots. We almost have to make our 3's to be in a game. When we miss we are in dangerous teritory. And like was said, we give up too many unchallenged shots. Outside of that we are doing fine????

Agree. As bad as Robinson has been on the offensive end I think he has been just as bad on the defensive end. He is totally lost. There have always been players who fair better watching the first 5 to 8 minutes before coming in.

Now does any of this solve the overall defensive issues? No.

But maybe Brea hits some shots in the open minutes and UK doesn't find themselves constantly behind in the first half.

Not a lot of options for Pope.

Also, I was surprised he put Chandler in last night. He is still really rusty from not playing basketball while on his mission trip. Maybe next year he can provide something.

I would rather see Noah on the court than Chandler. At least Noah can shoot the ball and is definitely not gun shy about letting it fly.
