I have read quite and few articles and and judging from what I have read I get the feeling that Jaxon Robinson and LaMont Butler are done for the season.

I would also say that there is a 70% chance that Kriisa is done as well.

Sounds like Travis Perry and Kobe Brea will get a lot of floor time.

I would assume that most of the halfcourt offense will be directed by Amari Williams.

Literally the only place talking about this is social media. Not exactly credible. They may be out for a few games but I doubt the season.

Jaxon Robinson's X-Rays are negative.

Lamont is a reaggravated injury that is said to be day by day from pope as of yesterday.

Both players are in their final year of college basketball. Neither player is a 1st round pick or even a high second round pick for the draft.

They will be back by March.

From what I can tell Pope likes to keep injuries close to the team. Making it seem like they are worse than what they really are.

Who knows?? It just means more experience for our 3 freshmen. They should be ready to lead our new freshmen next season. We have the makings of agood 5 experienced players for next year plus our 4 new recruits plus 2 or 4 players from the tranfer portal. Should be as good as we are this year. Hope we can finish strong to attract some good transfers.

Five experienced players next year? I know of only the three freshmen. Who are the other two?

Oweh and Garrison. Oweh will be a senior and Garrison will be a Junior.

Sweeet. I thought they all had used up their eligibility. That is a great nucleus indeed!

Everything I have read has been out of the Lexington Herald, Louisville Courier Journal, ESPN, and CBS Sports. I don't really do social media, this is the only UK site that I am on.

Last thing I read from Pope was it would be two to three weeks before they would find anything out on Butler/Robinson, I believe that was on Thursday. Then he started mentioning it was a shame to happen to all three of them in their 5th year. I thought that tone along with him mentioning two to three weeks probably means they will not be back which led to this post of “reading between the lines”

Glad to hear that there are some more positive updates that I have not read.

Can you link them here or let me know where to go read them?

The only issue is in today’s game, with the portal, you have to re-recruit your current players every year. While I believe it is highly likely that Perry and Noah will be back, I am not sure you can say the same for Oweh/Garrison/Chandler

Agree, even though players can be happy with playing time and current coaches etc, they often to go where the money is. Like for example, I wouldn't be shocked one bit if Perry or Noah go elsewhere for a million dollar nil deal.

Thanks. Yes, I saw this positive update earlier today. First positive news on the subject.

Still not exactly definitive on when either of them will be back. Hopefully soon.

Looks like Coach Pope “walked” back his statement on Butler a little today.

Fingers crossed they can get him back before the SEC Tournament.

I see Butler and Robinson are listed as Probable for Oklahoma. That would be great if both or either one of them can play and play effectively with no set backs!
