Kentucky had 13 steals and forced 15 turnovers, but only scored 7 points off of those 13 steals and 15 turnovers.

Alabama had 7 steals and forced 13 turnovers, but scored 24 points off of those 13 turnovers.

I don't think I have ever seen a team in any game only score 7 points off of 13 steals. Usually live ball steals turn into points at a very high rate.

So crazy.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

We have some players who forget they are in a tight game near the end of it. We do a lot of sleep walking when it gets tight. And our shooting accuracy goes way down when the going gets tough. Most of this game was very forgetable. Predictable but I had hope with the way we started. We are playing ourselves out of that first round bye.

We definitely struggle at stopping the ball in the open court, ie off turnovers. Unfortunately, we also struggle at keeping the ball in front in the half court. That's why Alabama beats us. We just don't really have anyone that could keep Sears from getting wherever he wanted to on the court. Perry and Chandler try really hard, but they just can't do a very good job with that. Same with Noah at times. Which is why I still wish we would mix zone in more. It could help us some in that area and at least make teams think a little more and not be so comofrtable.

Our Zone is too predictable. Late in the game, Pope called for a zone. Bam! Immediate wide-open corner three by Bama.

Don't think zone is going to be the answer. I just think our team is going to always depend more on offense than defense.

You are correct. We have to make a lot more threes than the opponent. That's how we started the season but we don't make as many in conference games. This will also kill us in the tournaments. We'll make it there but we won't go very far unless we get hot with threes. Not enough defense to make up for less than a dozen or more threes.

Great point Trey.

I was looking at these numbers too and have no explanation for it either. It's very strange.
