For your reference, the following is the description of The Cats Domain terms of service as listed during the registration process:
quote:
Because of the real-time nature of these Fan Forums, it is impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of information posted. TheCatsDomain.Com does not actively monitor the contents of these Fan Forums and is NOT responsible for any messages posted. TheCatsDomain.Com does NOT vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and is NOT responsible for the tone or content of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message only, and NOT necessarily the views of TheCatsDomain.Com. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to email the appropriate Moderator. Moderators have the ability to remove objectionable messages and will make every effort to do so within a reasonable time if they determine that removal is necessary or appropriate.
By accepting these rules, as evidenced by the submission of your registration, you agree that you will not use these Fan Forums to post any material which is knowingly false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or unless you have all necessary consents and permissions from the rightful owner or owners.
Although TheCatsDomain.Com DOES NOT and cannot review the messages posted and is NOT responsible for the tone or content of any message, TheCatsDomain.Com reserves the right to delete any message for any reason or for no reason at all. You remain solely responsible for the tone and content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless TheCatsDomain.Com and its owners with respect to any claim based upon the tone or content or transmission of your messages.
TheCatsDomain.Com also reserves the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by or attributed to you.
By registering at TheCatsDomain.Com you agree and understand that we have the absolute and unconditional right to ban any user who posts messages that any Moderator feels in violation of these rules or otherwise unacceptable for a family oriented web site.
Advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, solicitations, advertisements or announcements of or for other similar sites, and other commercial communications (collectively, "Spam") are inappropriate and will not be tolerated.
TheCatsDomain.Com has a zero tolerance policy with regard to Spam. The date, time and IP address for every message is logged. If you post spam on these Fan Forums, we WILL send a complaint to your ISP requesting that they terminate your account. It's not worth it, so don't do it.
Please note that "free" email addresses may not generally be used to register for these Fan Forums. While you are normally required to register with your "real" email address, you will have the opportunity during the registration process to suppress the display of your email address in your Profile. This ability, combined with our policy of never, ever, ever making our users' email addresses available to third parties (except in the case of violations of these rules and regulations, as expressly described above), will satisfy all legitimate privacy concerns.
If there is a legitimate reason why you must use a "free" email address to register at TheCatsDomain.Com, please write thecatsdomain@yahoo.com. Include your full name, address and telephone number and provide the reason why you must use a "free" email address to register. If our Administrator, in his or her sole and absolute discretion, determines that you have a legitimate reason to register using a "free" email address, he or she will register you manually.
These terms are a summary of many of TCD's policies and concerns. Feel free to contact a moderator or administrator if you have any questions.
