Kentucky beat Xavier 6-2 Wednesday night in response to their tough loss to NKU yesterday. The Cats used nice outings by Zach Logue, Logan Salow, and Zach Strecker to win their 18th game of the season. UK never trailed and jumped out to a 6-0 lead through six innings. Here are tonight’s quick hits:

Lefties dominated over Xavier- Logue started his second game of the season and went three innings. The sophomore faced two over the minimum and struck out three in three innings. Salow took over in the fourth and went three innings as well, striking out two and not allowing a hit. Xavier didn’t get their second hit until the seventh inning against Strecker.

McNeill and White continued their hit streaks- White has an 18-game hitting streak after a double tonight. McNeill has a team-high 20-game hitting streak in his first year on campus. Both players are hitting .380 through 25 games. McNeill added to his team-high in RBIs with his 30th tonight.
