No matter how busy you get, you should always make time for family and friends. The older you get, there will be fewer chances to do so and they will either move away or pass on.

Right on, Boom. I lost my mom back in February. Ever since, I've wished I could spend every single day visiting my aunt and uncles, brother and sister, and close friends. Life is way too short to forget about the one thing that means the most - the people in your life.
This is why it kills me so much that people allow money to run their lives. In the grand scheme of things, money is nothing. I'm pretty well off right now, but i'd be just as happy if i lived like i did when i was young and we lived on food stamps and hand-me-down clothes. Actually, those were the best days of my life.

You guys had to go and get all sappy with us, didn't you?
I think about this all the time. I'm in my mid 70's and I have two teenage grandkids the oldest of which will be going off to college next year.
She is an extremely bright kid with scholarship offers from several fine schools. She wants to major in pre-med. This means with 4 years of pre-med, 4 years of med school, and 2 years of an internship I may not live to see what her future holds.
My grandson is also very bright but is not academically oriented. His future will probably be in assisting others , ie: firefighter, para-medic, etc. He's only a sophomore in high school now so who knows what he may end up doing.

I'll be 83 next Thursday. Three of our six kids are eligible for senior citizen discounts. Oldest grandchild is 39. Youngest is almost 9. I don't know how I have lived this long, but am still enjoying life. We see 4 of our kids fairly often, but one is in New Hampshire and we see him once a year. Another is in Okinawa (teaching Marine dependents) and he will be home for six weeks this summer. Enjoy them while you can, is the best advice I can give.
