So last Friday was my last day at work. The IT department was outsourced to some Indian contracting company. This week has been awesome!!! I get to wake up when i want to wake up, and i get to stay up as late as i want. I'm getting 27 weeks of severance pay so money isn't a problem. And the old company is paying my Cobra for three months, so i can basically take the summer off if i want. Unfortunately, i had an interview last week and another one this afternoon. And I wasn't really looking for a job! Hopefully I get an offer and can start in a couple/few weeks. I'm really enjoying this time off.

Enjoy the time off! I know for me, personally, even when I'm on vacation or away from work, I still wake up at weird hours and feel like I should be heading to a job. I wonder how long that feeling would take to go away?

The first week felt like I was still working, just on vacation. But what's scaring me is that I'm really getting used to waking up at 9:00 am. When I go back to work I'm gonna be in for a rude awakening!

Take advantage of your time-off while you can.
