It is still about an hour until sundown, but is really dark outside. We drove through this storm from 70 miles north a little while ago. Most intense and frequent lightning I remember ever seeing. Of course our DirectTV is now out. I think I could spit in that satellite dish and shut it down. Not much wind, so there's that.

Norm, do you live in an area where you can't get cable?

No, but Spectrum has priced themselves out of business with me. They start out at a fair price, but steadily jack it up until it becomes ridiculous. Satellite TV does the same thing, but not to the degree they do. I have been known to switch companies when they do that crap. Spectrum had my brothers TV and internet up over $250 a month, with no premium channels!

We have comcast (comcrap) up here for cable. It's ridiculous. They have a monopoly on the cable market here and I can't have satellite where we are currently. Western KY has always been strapped for quality service of both TV and internet, I would think a decent company could do very well there for themselves, but the infrastructure just isn't in place yet.

I dumped Spectrum the last time they tried to jack my price up. I use them for phone and internet ($70) and Sling TV for cable ($55). That's $60 less then when i had Spectrum for phone/internet/TV. Screw Spectrum!
