My step father is 77 and on SS. Is anyone here on SS and already received money? If so did you get it automatically or have to go online and apply?

Yes. Both my wife and I automatically.

If you’re on SS and filed your taxes with direct deposit info on your return, it is automatically deposited in your account. I have mine but not sure if everyone in that category has had theirs deposited.
If you have direct deposit of your SS check I believe that will be deposited in your account somewhat later regardless of tax info. I’m not sure of that however.
If you your step father doesn’t fit in either of these options, i’m Not sure.
Actually, the only one i’m Sure of is the 1st one.
Maybe I should shut up now and let someone who knows what they’re talking about answer.

Paul, upon further review, my wife told me she is sure that anyone on SS will receive their stimulus check in the same way they now receive their SS check without doing anything. Some sooner than others based on the criteria I mentioned in my previous post and other things.
Since my wife knows everything, i’m Pretty sure this is correct.
Please dear Lord, don’t let Mona browse on The Cats Domain. Amen

We have received no checks yet. My wife and I both get SS checks monthly that are directly deposited to our bank account. I'm not sure what all the requirements are. We did file taxes last year (2019) but our accountant has not filed them this year.

Thanks for the input, gentlemen. I'll tell my stepfather to just sit back and give a little while. I'm sure it just takes time.

I made a mistake on the date in filing our income taxes in my note. We filed 2018 taxes.
