When I was a boy my mom used to make goulash - we called it Hungarian goulash, but not sure it's really a Hungarian recipe. She passed away almost three years ago and I probably haven't had her goulash in 45 years. I found a recipe on the internet that looks like what she used to make, so I gave it a shot. It's simmering on the stove as I write this. It looks real good. I hope it tastes like what mom used to make.
Anyone else ever eat goulash?

My wife makes it 4-5 times a year for the past 10-15 years and it's good even though I never thought I would like it when she first made it.

Gents I lived in Budapest for two yrs and their goulash is totally different than ours. Now with the internet perhaps you can make it close but it was so good and thick with a taste that was unmatched with any other..

We will be married 63 years in June, and have eaten it quite often during that time. My mother made it too, so I guess I have eaten it since I was weaned!

My grandmother used to make it. I haven't had any in years. I miss it, it sure was good.

I can honestly say I don't think I've ever had it. IF anyone ever wants to invite me over for Goulash I'll be polite and oblige them though! LOL!
