The nation’s No. 1 ranked point guard, who has Kentucky in his final five, will reportedly make his college decision this fall.
Kennedy Chandler’s father, Kylan Chandler, told Larry Vaught of Vaught’s Views and the Marshall County Daily that his son would decide on a school this fall.
“He’s not going to wait his whole senior year to make a decision. He’ll make it this fall, like maybe November,” Chandler’s father told Vaught. “He wants to make a couple of visits when he can. After that, he wants to make a decision. He doesn’t want to go his whole senior year worrying about where’s going to school.”
On where his son stands with Kentucky, Chandler’s father said, “I spoke to all five schools Kennedy has chosen for his top five and nothing has changed. Our (phone) numbers have not changed. All the coaches have access to him still. The plan is still the same."
Chandler’s final five includes the Wildcats, Duke Blue Devils, Memphis Tigers, North Carolina Tar Heels and Tennessee Volunteers. The G-League has also expressed interest in Chandler, though he’s made it clear the plan right now is going to college.
