"""Five-star center Ugonna Kingsley Onyenso arrived for his official visit to Kentucky on Wednesday, and the Wildcats have been trending heavily for the highly touted basketball recruit. Onyenso — a 7-footer from Nigeria — plays for Putnam Science Academy (Conn.), the same program that featured Hamidou Diallo before he came to UK. Currently, Onyenso is the No. 22 overall prospect in the 2023 class, but it was confirmed Thursday that he will reclassify to 2022 and be on a college campus for good this season. If he does pick Kentucky, the star center won’t come in with an immediate expectation of playing time — with national player of the year Oscar Tshiebwe back for the Wildcats — and could redshirt the 2022-23 season before beginning his college career next year. A total of six picks have been placed on Onyenso’s 247Sports Crystal Ball and other prediction pages over the past month, all of them in favor of Kentucky. Analysts who cover recruiting nationally for 247, Rivals.com and On3.com have all placed pro-UK picks in recent weeks. Onyenso took an official visit to Oklahoma State late last month and is expected to be on Oklahoma’s campus this coming weekend, but UK is the clear favorite.

He's supposed to make his decision and it should be on 4 August. He will be moving up to the 2022 class and could be on the trip to the Bahamas. He definitely can block some shots.

I'm starting to believe this will become a great class.
"""Kentucky is in the driver’s seat to land 2022 five-star center Ugonna Kingsley Onyenso, who recently reclassified and will suit up during the 2022-23 college basketball season.
The 6-foot-11 center out of Nigeria is coming off an official visit to Kentucky, a trip that took place to open the NCAA live period on July 20. Rather than opening the in-person evaluation period at Peach Jam — Chin Coleman and KT Turner represented Kentucky to open the event — John Calipari stayed back in Lexington with Orlando Antigua in hopes of closing on the prized recruit. From there, Calipari flew to Peach Jam, while Antigua made his way to California for the adidas 3SSB Championships.
How did things go with Kingsley? In a trip that was wildly important for both sides — Kentucky was sacrificing valuable evaluation time, while the five-star center was looking to reclassify and enroll sooner rather than later — it was nothing short of a home run."""

Bama looks looks like your right on as Cal has done a good job recruiting. Time will tell!

Kingsley signing with UK today just about wraps up the 2022 class. We will have 11 on scholarship and 4 walk ons. Just enough for 3 teams in practice.
"""Kingsley-Onyenso is a high-level shot-blocker and rim protector," said Paul Biancardi, ESPN's national recruiting director for boys' high school basketball. "His physical measurables are eye-popping, standing at 6-11 with a 7-5 wingspan and 9-10.5 standing reach. He takes long strides, has vertical explosiveness and moves his feet very well laterally. He could provide excellent drop coverage in ball-screen defense and has the mobility and agility to hard-hedge and even switch. His defensive instincts are in place and ahead of his offensive game.
"He scores best inside finishing lobs, drop-off passes and rolling to the rim. What makes his potential so intriguing are his developing touch and scoring moves. The next steps are to improve with his back to the basket and then get a short face-up drive and jumper against a set defense."""

I believe that with his ability to block shots will earn him some playing time.
