Wow! It's filling up quickly. There are several on there that could satisfy our needs easily. But when will we know what our needs are? I hope everyone makes their decisions by the end of April. There are some good possibilities but our chances of convincing them is questionable.

Best player to pick up would be Hunter Dickinson. If any of our big men leave he is the one who could fill Oscar's shoes, and then some. He dunks everything but his 3's, and he can make the 3 frequently. We definitely need him but Cal's game plan will probably send him elsewhere.

The second player on my list to go after would be Dalton Knecht, a 6-6 G from N. Colorado. He reminds me of TJ. Looks to be a knockdown 3 shooter. But he can protect the ball and drive well to the basket. A good replacement for either of our guards. And I don't think he is injury prone like TJ.

Some other names to watch are:

Olivier Nkamhona TN -Forward
Kel'el Ware - Oreegon Center
TJ Bamba -Wash. St. wing
Graham Ike - Wyoming Forward

It's looking like it's coming down to the wire as far as Cal getting a lot from the portal this year. Right now it's looking like we may get Dickinson if all goes well. Our other need is a scoring guard, not so much if Reeves returns like I think he will. The best in the portal right now is Ace Baldwin. The other top rated guards are Taran Armstrong a 6-5 PG, Jameer Nelson Jr a PG, Brandon Murray a CG, Caleb Love a SG and Khalif Battle a SG.

Missed that signing. CJ signed with Cincinnati today also. I'm starting to guess that Ware and Thierro figures everyone knows they are returning so we may not get a heads up on them for a long while.

I'm starting to think this date of 31 May to remove your name from the draft list is about the craziest idea they ever had. So Oscar has until then to decide whether to come back or stay in the draft. But how is Hunter dickinson supposed to hold off until then to decide whether he wants to sign with UK? If Oscar waits till then to decide we will not get Dickinson, and may lose Oscar too. Sometimes I think they make it intentionally hard for these kids to decide.
