Topic: UK Top Recruiting list for 2025

So far Pope is not attracting many recruits for 2025. New man on the block, what can he do? Seems to be the question most recruits are asking. The following are the ones who are supposed to hold offers. Name, rank, position and if they have UK on their list of interest.

I don't think UK will be on a lot of the top High School players list anymore. Those kids can read......they know that Pope was brought in to Kentucky to "get older" so to speak so I don't see a lot of the highly ranked one and done kids really being that interested in coming to UK.
I think Pope will land one from time to time, but I would guess his focus is going to be mainly on kids ranked between 40 to 150, 4 and 3 star high school kids vs. the 5 star kids with one and done potential.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I can agree with that. And it's really what we asked for the last several years. He will be a Tubby or Joe B type recruiter. As you say, 4 and 3 type build a team type players with a top 20 kid once in a while. This year could be our best team for a while with all the experience available. If they learn to play team ball with each other this could be a very good year.

Recent word is the Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno are not looking good as Kentucky commits. I hope that Coach Pope can turn that tide, because if he doesn't, this could be bad in the long run for recruiting.

I don't believe Johnson was ever going to come to UK. He's more of a Cal high profile recruit. I'm still feeling ?Malachi will be a wildcat.
