Whats up with that? I just go tthrough watching the end of the Uvel Game. ( THEY LOST BY THE WAY!!!
i WANT TO KNOW WHY THE OFFICIALS CREATE A RULE AND THEN DON'T FOLLOW IT.
The last play of the game should have never taken place. Brohm got sacked but the play should have never taken place. At the change of possession the clock is supposed to staret as soon as the Ref sets the ball. They wait until UL get lined up before they wind the clock. Doesn't the clock start immediately on change of possession?
I though that was a point of emphasis this year. The coach for Rutgers was yellilng to staret the clock and they wouldn't do it.
At least now I won't have to hear about my local paper saying UL should be playing for the national title!!

No, that's not how it works.
The refs start the clock when the ball is marked ready for play, and both teams are on the field and in the huddle. However, UofL didn't huddle, they ran out and got into position. Once the refs were set, the umpire was clear of the offense and in his normal position, and the defense was on the field, the ball is whistled into play. The refs weren't waiting on UofL--UofL was ready, and waiting on the refs.

I think the refs were waiting on getting the fans
off the field. I thought there might be a penalty
called because of the fans.
