this is a must game and if we pull this out we are on our "way"! it could then without any doubt be said that the coaching staff and athletic department have done a great job getting us thru the hal mummy era! goooooo cats!!!!!

I'm one of those kinda guys who thinks every game is the biggest game in a long time. BHut you are right. YOu cannot overlook anyone. Especially a team as talented as Vandy. It seems funny saying that phrase, but Vandy has had a respectable season so far this year. Lets just hope the Cats take care of business today and send the 'Dores home with a loss!!

I feel very edgy about this game. Last week was really an upper with LV and UK both winning big games. this week has started downhill with LV forgetting to show up for the second half against Rutgers. Now I'm feeling queezy about today. If these guys don't show up and give it 100% on both sides of the line it could be the most disappointing game in UK history, besides the LSU loss a few years back. Sure hope they can pull this one out in the rain and most likely a sloppy mess.

Bama Cat, as you I'm very uneasy about this game and have been since the schedule was announced. But I believe you're a little over-the-top by tabbing it possibly the most disappointing Cat loss ever. Vandy, I beleive, is a better team than UK so a loss wouldn't be that much of a downer. However, to me it would be one of the most satisfying wins ever.

Beating a "good" Vandy team would help make this season a huge success by UK standards.
Only 10-7 midway through 3rd Quarter. I'm really getting nervous about this one. We need scores!

Vandy's getting big chunks of yards each time they touch the ball. Do we not have DB's that can cover the reciever?

After the interception at our own goal line, UK goes down the field and Woodson fires a big-yardage TD pass. UK up 31-20.
Hope we can make it hold up.

We've gotta make Vandy use some time on the clock. Gotta get that clock run down.

Defense gives up chunks of yardage and makes ANOTHER goal line interception!
Very fortunate, but, hey, I'll take it!

Another game where our 'D'gives up 500+ yards. It would really have been ugly if not for the two interceptions and the two missed Vandy FG tries. However, no one will remember how much the 'D' sucked if we can hold on for the win.
On the plus side, Woodson put up great numbers on the 25th-ranked passing defense in the nation.

LIttle just had a big run on second down. He has to be the player of the game. He has played a whale of a game today! 132 yards rushing today!!

57 yard touchdown to Burton. Is it running up the score or just trying to get a safe margin?
38-20 I can finally breathe a sigh of relief!!
Posted by ALA_KAT2 (Member # 1559) on 11-11-2006, 03:10 PM:
Are you kidding? With our D, there is no safe margin!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 11-11-2006, 03:11 PM:
That is 3 scores though, Ala_cat.

Just sacked the QB on 4th and 10. Now we just need to run out the clock!

We can finally breath a sigh of relief. I hope
they don't tear down the goal posts again. This
one would cost UK 25,000.

WAY TO GO, CATS!
Brooks just got Gatorade poured on him!
And the other team scored a touchdown on a "hail mary" pass like LSU did a few years ago.
Good thing time ran out.

Good thing we had an 18 point lead on that Hail Mary touchdown pass!

They can't tear down the goal posts again. UK installed collapsible ones this week according to one article I read.

Glad we had just enough to get thru this game. Stats aren't that great except for 4 TD passes but it is a win. I couldn't stand to listen to it so I just got the score here. Maybe we can build some momentum next week to carry over to TN. Georgia was spoiling our hopes for third in the SEC East by clobbering Auburn, or somebody.

Unless I am mistaken we can still finish in 3rd in the East by beating UT. Right??

With Tennessee losing tonight could it be we finish second?
