As Kentucky fourth-year junior receiver Keenan Burton continues to tear it up on a weekly basis, the question of whether Burton could be playing his last two games in a Wildcat uniform starts to become a legitimate one.

i think he has no choice and will leave for the nfl. it only takes one bad hit to get injured and you can't jeopradize your opportunity on a injury...i understand why he will wait till the season is over before announcing his decision. he doesn't want that to interfere with the remaining games, a class move. he is a great athlete and a better person and deserves great things to happen for him...

mandoo he may stay for his last year to pad his
stats some. But I could understand him leaving
early. I hope he stays.

i hope he stays too eleem but if he did and got a serious injury it would be a catastrophe. i guess it's best to let him deceide his own fate but it sure would be nice to see him pulling down some more of woodson's passes.

I like Burton and wish him nothing but the best, and I do think he's good (not great)..... but, I feel he would best be served by returning for his senior year in order to better his draft status and to get his degree because that will have to be his ace card in case of injury and following the unpredictability of a NFL career, imo.

max, here are keenan burton's numbers for this year. Burton has 66 receptions for 964 yards, and his 12 touchdown catches lead the Southeastern Conference. He's also one of the nation's most dangerous return men; his 25.5 yards per kickoff return would be even higher had he not had a touchdown called back against Vanderbilt. i am pretty sure that many nfl teams could use a guy that has stats like that and wouldn't be surprised to see him go in the first round if he deceides to leave. he is a player that can give a team a dual role with his ability be a return man and a wide out as well..

Let's all remember one key thing:
HIS BEST FRIEND IS MICHAEL BUSH!!!
Think what happened to Bush isn't weighing on his mind? I think if Bush goes pro, he'll go pro; if Bush comes back for another year, it'll help us keep Burton.

I never questioned Burton's numbers or denied that he's a talent, though personally I would be pleasantly surprised if he were to go in the first round. I simply stated that imo he would be better served (regarding the draft and his life away from football) to return for his senior campaign. The College and Pro games are night and day. Dont get me wrong though....I think he will make it and believe he'll be ok, but there are a bunch of Derek Abney's out there that are good college players and unheard of 3 or 4 years later. I hope your right though cmd.
Bush is damaged goods.....I really like this kid (like I do all in-state kids) but he played 1 game against one of the worse run defenses in America this year. He will still get drafted but here again he could help himself out imo, and prove to all he can carry the load for a season and has fully recovered from his injury. But hey, its like anything else, when they flash a bunch of cash before a young man he would probably be crazy not to take it.

In the games I saw Bush play late in the season he looked considerably overweight. I wonder about is commitment to rehab.
