Barnhart admitted those three years were troublesome at times, but said the program survived because of the recruitment of good players, and the dedication of Brooks and his coaching staff to stay the course, despite consistent criticism.

An honest and fair evaluation it seems to me. Now if we can keep our expectations in bounds.

barnhart is behind the football and will help our program, along with the current coaching staff, and players make it to a new level...

UK football has been trying to get to that new level ever since Bear Bryant left years and years ago.Other than going to a bowl game every 5 or 6 years and that late 70's team(77 or 78) that was on probation but wound up 10-1,it's the same old same old.
I've always thought of UK football as a potential sleeping giant.Great facilities and a very enthusiastic fan base considering all the losing.can you imagine what would happen if we went 10-1 again?

Careful there, ohiocat, according to some on this board you are romanticizing the past and dreaming fanatically.
