North Caroling State has offered Archer a pretty
big chunk of change to take the assistant coach's
position. He and the head coach have been together
previously.

Two NFL teams have asked to talk to him about
coming back to the NFL. So he must not be as bad
as a lot of people thought, even tho he just
proved them wrong. After taking the heat he's
taken I would like to see him stay for one more
year to prove what a good defensive coach he is.

This was just reported on wkyt 11:00 news.

I hope he leaves. I don't think our defensse could get any worse than it's been under Archer for the last few years.
And don't give me the, "Well, he's not had enough talent, and Brooks put all the best players on the offensive side." Bull Honkey!
Archer has not adapted his defensive schemes to take advantage of what talent he does have. Instead, he's had them playing defensive schemes that allow our opponents to run and pass at will. They did well the Clemson game, but one game does not a good coach make.

They played well in the tenn game as well. Others
must think he's pretty good, NCS has offered him
a package which could pay him as much as 500,000.
a year. So some of the guys that make a living at the game seem to think he's a good coach for some
reason.

Two NFL teams want to talk to him too.

But Ala I agree it took a long time to get to
where we are and after next year I would have
agreed to have stared looking somewhere else if
things hadn't started to change. But they did.

With the shape our club was in I don't care whom
they would have brought in, it would have taken a
long while to get it worked out.
