LEXINGTON, Ky. - Keenan Burton will return to the University of Kentucky for his senior season.

UK's junior wide receiver made that announcement at a news conference Friday afternoon at Memorial Coliseum, ending weeks of speculation about his football future.

Good news. If we can shore up the lines we should be pretty strong next year!

Wow. Our "Terrific Trio" of Little, Burton, and Woodson all return. If our O-line plays as well as it did the second half of the season, then we should be putting some points on the board next year!

Come on, Mr. Steve Brown, raise our "D" several notches and its party time in Lexington next season again!

Hallelulja, hallelulja! Let the expectations be raised!

Prophet,

I am not too worried about that -- You'll always be around to lower 'em again. [Big Grin] Besides, 'raised' is a relative term. This year, most prognosticators (including those on this board) were hesitant to predict more than 3 wins for this team, and almost NOBODY predicted more than 6!

Unfortunately, success does indeed raise expectations. But, UK fans should have a lot of inertia regarding expectations, as our history argues against entertaining wild ideas like, say, sustained success.

Great year, Cats! I am looking forward to next season with what I hope is reasonable expectations!

Tiptree, hey, I'm only here to serve. Seriously I'm as pleased and proud of the Cats just completed season as the next Cat fan and plan on enjoying it for the next several months. But considering next year's schedule and not having the "surprise factor" I'm really concerned about unreasonable expectations. Cats could easily play better and end with a worse record. Alas, pride does indeed many times precede the fall.

ukcatfannfl, care to make a prediction on next year's record? I know it's early but test your optimism, if you wish/dare.
