Tragedy has struck the University of Kentucky football family for the second time in a little more than a year, as recruit John Keye was killed last night in an automobile accident near his hometown of Jackson, Ga.

22 young Americans of approximately the same age died in the last 24 hours in Iraq. They died for a purpose, John Keye died for no apparent reason. Whether there is a difference is a value judgment I'm not willing or able to make.
