It is early yet……ok it is very early. But it also was a beautiful Saturday in the Ville, which makes us all happy and optimistic. I spent some time with some UK fans, all singing the praises of UK and the potential for UK football. I thought maybe they were just homer fans….and then I came home and saw that Mel Kiper has Andre Woodson projected to be the 6th overall pick in the NFL draft.

We have a great receiving core that will only help his chances. If he gets the protection he needs he will have a great season and so will the team. He sure has come a long way since he got here. He is a great athlete and a fine student athlete...

Watched Kirk Herbstreet addressing the SEC on ESPN and he picked Andre Woodson as the player to watch, although he picked Tim Tebow as POY. LSU vs UF in championship game.

Woodson should have an even better year and fatter stats than last season. Burton anchors a very talented receiving corps. Jacob Tamme, the #1 rated TE in the SEC, has trimmed his weight and his 40 time down. Little is healthy. Alfonso Smith, with a year under his belt, should have added strength to go with his speed, to break runs between the tackles. The O line is younger, but is expected to be better and deeper than last years line.
Imho, the Cats need to win 10 games for Woodson to win the Heisman. I believe UK will win at least 6 games and go bowling. But, if the D comes around, this could be a very special season.
