) No one has talked about Senior WR Steve Johnson, but he's been having a great off-season in both leadership and playing abilities. Thanks to following the lead of Keenan Burton, who is undoubtedly the program's face and captain, Johnson has polished his work ethic and has made himself the complete wide receiver. After the year Dicky Lyons, Jr. had statistically, many anticipated he'd take over the reigns at the number two receiver spot, but it's been Johnson who's impressed the most. His forty-time is down in the low 4.4's and with his size and build, he'll be able to stretch the field this year and give the staff someone else to look to in the passing game outside of Burton

This is the first year in a long time that I am anxious for the football Cats to take the field. We have all the pieces in place to have a very good season.

Steve Johnson is a juco and that's why we have not heard to much about him. Last year was his first year at Kentucky and although he played in 13 games he only caught 12 passes. Here is his bio that shows he is good enough to have a monster year this year..

Sometimes a player not getting a lot of preseason ink can be the best thing that happens to a team.

It would be nice to see some of those Jucos to hit the ground running, but it laways seems to take a year to get acclimated to the SEC and then you get some production out of them their snior season. I wish him the best and hope he has a great senior season.
