As a wide receiver at Kentucky in the 1980s, Phillips played with some of the most talented backs in modern UK history -- George Adams, Mark Higgs, Marc Logan, Ivy Joe Hunter.

When Phillips was an assistant to Bill Curry, Moe Williams set the Kentucky single-season rushing record (1,600 yards in 1995).

But Joker says a healthy Rafael Little is better than any of them.

I just got through reviewing SI's top 20 running backs for 2007 and was shocked Little wasn't among them.

Little's numbers from last season weren't among the top rushers because of missed games due to injury. He also didn't qualify as a top return man, because the number of returns weren't enough. If he stays healthy, he will put up big numbers and could very well get picked on the first day of the draft.

It's really great that he is in such good shape and put on some muscle and a extra ten pounds. He is going to have a great season.

gcb, I know we didn't even offer Shawn Alexander a scholarship when he graduated from a Kentucky High School so i know it can happen, but how did did the gamecocks ever let Little get out of the State?
