Cant decide, I go back and forth between 7-5 and 9-3.

6-6 and a bowl game is a definite. If the D comes around, with a bunch of returning players and a new DC, the Cats could win at least 8. I am hoping for the latter. My head says 6, but my heart says 8. If there are cash bets involved, go with your head over your heart.

With our schedule 6-6 and a bowl is probably the best we can expect, 7-5 would be fantastic..

5-7 but I hope 6-6.
gonna have to win some close ones this year to get to .500

8-4 season and 9-4 overall with a win in the Outback Bowl!! [Big Grin]

SOS means 5-7 with 4-8 a real possibility. Woodson's good health is absolutely critical.

Come on guys, think positive. We are a few plays away from 10 wins last year and were competitive with everyone save LSU and U of L.

My prediction: 8-4, 4-4 SEC

Eastern W
Kent St W
Louisville W
@ Ark L
Fla Atlantic W
@ S Carolina W
LSU L
Florida L
Miss State W
@ Vandy W
@ Georgia L
Tennessee W

Here we come Outback Bowl!!!

Tiptree's optimistic predictions
Eastern -- W
Kent St -- W
Louisville -- W YES! A season-making momentum win!
@ Ark -- W Pryor and company show Mr. Heisman Favorite what tenacious defense means.
Fla Atlantic -- W
@ S Carolina -- W Toto, I don't think we're in Florida any more!
LSU -- L Even the most optimistic Tiptree cannot see this one [Frown]
Florida W -- Did I say MOMENTUM?
Miss State -- W
@ Vandy -- W
@ Georgia -- L Just enough of a loss to make us HUNGRIER
Tennessee -- W The sounds of Rocky Top will be scarce this year!

OK! OK! I'll wake up now. Here is my more grounded-in-reality prediction:

Tiptree's realistic predictions
Eastern -- W
Kent St -- W
UofHell -- L
@ Ark -- L
Fla Atlantic -- W
@ S Carolina -- L
LSU -- L
Florida -- L
Miss State -- W
@ Vandy -- W
@ Georgia -- L
Tennessee -- W/L

Looks like 5-7, or maybe 6-6 to this fan. Winning on the road in the SEC only happens when Kentucky is playing schools starting with M and V. Spurrier has our number, and just enough talent to ensure yet another defeat at the hands of the Ole Ball Coach. Louisville, LSU and Florida, while at Commonwealth, just have too much talent AND depth for us. Tennessee seems winnable, providing we stay healthy (and they don't), but somehow, I cannot see this one in my crystal ball...

Tiptree - I'll bet you anything (well something) softdrink,? that we bet SC this year. We have too much offense and our defense will improve enough to be ranked in the 50-60 best in the country!!..

9-4 with win in the outback bowl [Smile]

This team will only be as good as the defense performs. Last year's team was abysmal on stopping the pass and the ground game. But they did get better as the year progressed. I hope the improvement continues this season because it's gonna have to get better to compete.

The offense could be one of the best in the nation, but you can't depend on scoring 35-40 points a game to win.

This could be one of UK's best team in years but still fair no better than 6-6 or 7-5 at best. I hope I'm wrong and the defense shows vast improvement.

Schedule says a very improved Kentucky team could still be 6-6 or 7-5. A key injury on defense (Pryor, Woodyard), or any ofensive lineman (we're thin anyway), and it could be a long year.

no way we go to Columbia and win on the road. This should be Spurrier's best group since he's been at SC.
5-7 unless we can pull off a big upset and go 6-6.
And unless our defense is better this year 4-8 could realistically happen....

Ten returning starters on a d that held the national champs to 18. I think you guys will be better but some of you are drinking two much of the blue kool aid. Can you come into Columbia and win Sure. Could you come into Columbia and get smoked with your porus run defense absolutely. You guys will be improved over last year but your schedule isn't so friendly this year. So I think the cats will be a better team but results won't show on the field as many of you have already said.

Best of Luck until we see you in October.

UK has potential to be 7-0 going into the Florida game.

UK should win all the games they're supossed to win. (EKU, Kent, FAU) there's 3 wins

UK can probably pick up solid wins over Vandy and Miss St. That's 5 wins.

UK might be able to squeak out wins at USC and UL and Arkansas. There's 8 wins.

UT, UF, LSU, Georgia. Those will be the toughest games to win. I think UK does have to power to beat Georgia this year. That could be 9 wins.

I like UK's chances better against the remaining 3 since they're at home for UK. A lot of what happens will rely on people being healthy the whole season. If something were to happen to Woodson, that prediction record would most likely be edited. But, I hope that doesn't happen and UK can put their name on the top 20 list at the end of the season.

A super optimistic outlook has at 10-3 with the bowl win.

A regular optimistic look has UK at 9-4 with a bowl win.

I would venture that UK will finish 8-5 with a bowl win.

Brandon, I am willing to put a friendly wager that we dont win 8 games in the regular season. You name the bet. Actually I hope i lose....

Don't believe we get past 6-6. If we get to 8-4 we'll surprise a lot of people and be ranked in the top 25.

6-6 at best. Maybe 5-7, unless some players on Defense really step up.

7-5.

Go Cats!!

5-0, that means Cats would have to go 0-7 to match my best prediction. Making transition from doubter to believer. Probably should change my poster name. How about No Clue ?

I have to say I am impressed. I expected you to either be 4-1 or 3-2 at worse. I really didn't expect you to beat Louis and Arky. But I figured with your offense at least one would go down. See you thursday.
