That will go down in history as the biggest upset in college football...Unbeliveable! I would bet this will be the end for coach Lloyd Carr as Michigan football teams don't lose to Appalachain State..

Biggest upset ever??? I have to disagree. Remember App won the last two IA National championships.
The bigger question is why in the heck would Michigan schedule this game? Makes no sense to me.

What a game! I believe Mich. football is possably so full of themselves ( thats just my perception)that they never gave any 1AA a chance against them in their home opener. But regardless of the excuses/reasons that Mich. can give, App. St deserves a lot of credit for simply being the better team on that day.

Todays game was no fluke.
Appy St was quick and very fast. They picked Michigans defense apart. And they were just outright faster, quicker. This is an experienced team that has won back to back championships, so the experience is there, and they are good.
So even though it may go down as one of the biggest upsets, anyone who watched that game saw Appy State control that game for three quarters, and then even when it looked like it was over, they continued to play ball.
But Michigan was outplayed and the stats dont really show that.
Loved it, absolutely loved it. Fans got their moneys worth, but not the result they wanted, thats for sure.

What upset is bigger? No Division I-AA team has EVER beaten ANY Division I team ranked in the Top 25. Michigan was ranked 5th.
BTW, Michigan helped Notre Dame from being the shock of the weekend.
