The Cats are certain to drop several spots from their lofty No. 8 position in the Associated Press and USA Today polls, and their next two games are against top-ranked Louisiana State and No. 9 Florida. A lengthy hangover from the USC loss would probably result in the Cats' being 5-3 and possibly out of the polls, so there's a sense of urgency to quickly rebound.
