Who would you like to see playing for the national championship this year? Besides UK...
For entertainment purposes I think LSU and Oregon would make for an explosive game.

I would take the SEC champion (equally likely to be either Florida or LSU) versus the most current media darling, Arizona State.
It wouldn't even be close, IMO.

I'd like to see a one loss SEC team, LSU, playing Ohio State University. LSU will hurt OSU and the SEC will remain the best Football Conference in the Nation.

SEC vs Big 12

I don't know if any of you get to catch any of Colin Cowherd's show The Herd on ESPN Radio, but he's really been bad-mouthing SEC football in recent days.

Bayer, I caught his show the other day and you are correct, he was bad mouthing the entire SEC.
But I also listened to him last week and it seemed like all he talked about was how great the SEC is.
I enjoy listening to him, but he loves to jump from bandwagon to bandwagon.

I live in Northern Kentucky and would love to see a SEC team kick the #$%^ out of Ohio State again.

Yeah, I would like to see LSU rip a new one in Ohio State. I also wouldn't mind seeing them rip a new one in Oklahoma.

Don't overlook the fact that Cowherd's #1 responsibility is to increase audience share. Controversy is (right or wrong) the accepted method of accomplishing the goal. So objectivity and consistency are written off.

Yeah, some talk shows here in Knoxville have been debating whether or not the SEC is showing parity or if it's just a bunch of average teams. I for one think that the SEC is still the best conference top to bottom in the nation and would put our top teams up against anybody in the nation. Personally, I think if a 3 loss Florida team played an undefeated Arizona State or Boston College, then UF would win by at least 2 touchdowns. I feel like UK has the "potential" to beat a Boston College if we played to our ability. Considering they barely beat a Virg. Tech squad who is 112th nationally in offense. I would love to see LSU play Ohio State so the Buckeyes can get another stompin from a SEC squad and get embarassed again on national TV.

Perhaps there is NO team that really stands out this year.I really hope OSU plays LSU as well.It probably won't happen as I'm pretty sure LSU and maybe even OSU will get beaten which will leave the national title game with no SEC or Big 10 team.Top to bottom the SEC is the best football conference in the nation no doubt, although the Big 10 did go 2-1 against the SEC in bowl games last year.I try to base my opinions on objectivity and facts, not a hatred and jealousy for a certain team and university. That goes for the basketball side on this board as well with the hatred and jealousy threads spewed at Florida,Duke,Indiana,Louisville and North Carolina.I think this looks bad and lends credence for the national media's animosity to UK basketball fans. This is just a small faction of fans that act this way.You have it at all universities but some more than others, like UK basketball and OSU football.I certainly don't root for the basketball teams I mentioned above and hope they lose any time they play but it ends there. You can still love your team and not run down other fine programs.I would hope that would be the case for most posters here.
