Norm, I played as hard in that football game as I do in basketball games but that did not seem to help the Cats. I thought they had it won when they intercepted the pass on Tennessee during the second overtime only to have their short field goal blocked. Bummer. Those kids gave it all they had, their defense just broke totally down in the overtimes. It truly was an exciting game to watch for all football fans.

It is a shame. They had their chances in the end of regulation and the second overtime, both. The end of regulation should have been the trump card that tipped us off that it just wasn't gonna be our day!

It was a sad ending but we did come back and the guys played their hearts out.

I really think it comes down to depth and when we get more players that have ability we are going to be a team to reckon with in the SEC.

One thing is for sure and that is no teams are going to take us for granted anymore. They know when they play Kentucky they are going to have to play hard to beat us.

cmd-I agree about other teams playing UK in the future, but, not to be a spoil sport, we better start working on a QB for next season. I don't think any of us truly appreciate how much Andre' Woodson has meant to this team. My greatest fear is we just do not have anyone ready for next year and we could be another year or two away from being back to where we were this season. Hope I'm totally wrong, but still greatly concerned.

I too am stressed out over the game. We had so many chances to pull it out. I'm disappointed but probably not nearly as much as the Seniors who gave it their all. We're going to miss Woodson, Tamme, Burton, Little (is Lyons a Sr.?) and many others I failed to mention. Our offense next year is going to have to be completely retooled to fit the new QB, especially if it's Pulley.

The only way this team remains competitive is to improve the defense. We can't continue to score in the 40's to win ball games. We're losing an exceptional group of offensive players and we're not likely to see their equal for a few years, so we gotta play better defense and hope the new QB and returning RBs can score enough points to win some games.

And, oh yeah, the O-line and D-line have both got to improve. I'm not asking for much, am I?
