What a great match-up. Never been much of a Bobby Bowden fan and it would make my year if we could beat them. They have lived on thug players for years with little consiquences for their actions..I hope we run them off the field...

Didn't our offensive line coach come from Florida State? I'll bet he is especially eager to win against Tommy Bowden!
I am thinking it will be closer than your prediction, CMD, but UK should prevail:
UK 31 FSU 24

Tree coach heggins came from Fla State. You know he would like to beat his old coach. I wonder if he was let go or just quit and came to UK. I couldn't see him quitting down there.

I keep getting asked around FSU who I am going to pull for because I am constantly in UK stuff, and have it on my car etc. Anyway I just keep saying there's no question gotta be the Big Blue. Born in raised in Kentucky, I bleed blue. I have always been intrigued by the potential of this match-up. Obviously FSU is way down, so it isn't quite the task it would have been. I think that if Kentucky plays to their ability, doesn't make dumb mental mistakes and turn the ball over, then we could potentially have a great performance. FSU's offense is at times horrendous, especially in the red-zone, they can't put it in the endzone. Anyway that is my take. My prediction UK by 14.
Oh by the way I think that Heggins left when Jeff (Bobby's son) was ran off by the alumni/school/fans, a lot of the the offensive coaches were replaced. [ 12-04-2007, 07:08 PM: Message edited by: NoleCat ]

Okay, there seems to be some confusion on Heggins. Although the word from Coach Bobby Bowden is that he resigned, the truth is he was fired by the school for indiscretions (ie. drinking) and replaced by McHale, who in turn was fired along with the rest of the offensive staff last year. Heggins is a top notch coach as far as the OL goes and has turned out numerous All-Americans.
As for the UK-FSU game, you guys should beat them. They will be without numerous starters because of the academic fraud that is now being investigated. Hell, I think you'd beat them regardless.
