University of Kentucky junior wide receiver Dicky Lyons Jr. has filed paperwork to have his NFL Draft status evaluated, UK Coach Rich Brooks said Saturday.
Lyons said he’s trying to gauge his NFL stock and will return to Kentucky next year.

I hope for the best for Dicky, but next year is probably going to be a transitional year from a passing offense to a more running offense. If it goes as most expect Pulley will be our quarterback and for sure he isn't going to be near the passer that Woodson is.
If Dicky is going to make it to the NFL it would be most helpful if he has a good year catching passes and that may not be possible with next years team strengths.
The good thing is you can "never" underestimate Dicky Lyons, and where their is a will there is a way. Dicky Lyons has a will!

The down side on Lyons is his height. The upside is he is very fast and has great hands. Pulley is not the runner who can't throw type of QB that some people think that he is. He is much more mobile than Woodson. Anyone remember a certain Georgia QB, a few years back, who would burn UK on deep passes because he could buy time by moving around in the pocket? A mobile QB is not always a bad thing. Pulley has a redshirt season to improve his skills on the scout team and Joker thinks that he is the man. I see Lyons benfitting from Pulley, next season.

One thing if Lyons' favor: We have visual evidence that he can block downfield; that video is one of the season highlights.

prophet: Craig Steltz from LSU knows you're right, at least he thinks you're right, based on what he can remember.
