Arliss Beach as a CatI don't know a lot about Boyd County, however two athletes come to mind when I think of Ashland, Kentucky: Brandon Webb and Arliss Beach.
My first trip to Ashland took place last Friday as I attended a small ceremony honoring Webb, an Ashland native and winner of the 2006 Cy Young Award. I wasn't thrilled about making the two hour drive east, but if there was ever a reason to go to Boyd County, this was it.
