We didn't answer States Touchdown!
Posted by PaulCat (Member # 513) on 12-31-2007, 04:22 PM:
Little may be one of the all-time greats by the time his UK career is over.
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 04:23 PM:
What a touchdown by Johnson! That was a very important drive!
Posted by PaulCat (Member # 513) on 12-31-2007, 04:23 PM:
Based on what I see on TV the crowd is about 80% blue. Basically a home game for the Cats.
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 04:23 PM:
Defense should be rested! Let's go "D"!!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 04:24 PM:
That's a typical bowl game for us isn't it Paul?
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 04:25 PM:
If Little hadn't turned the ball over he'd already be having an MVP GAME!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 04:34 PM:
Announcers sound like they are pulling full force for the Seminoles!
Posted by prophet (Member # 2089) on 12-31-2007, 04:42 PM:
I'm not impressed. The lack of speed is still killing this team. Too many mistakes and by seniors: Little and Johnson. I'll miss the last half but UK will be fortunate to win. Hopefully I can log on to computer for scores. Happy New Year all!
Posted by prophet (Member # 2089) on 12-31-2007, 04:48 PM:
You can add Woodson to the list of senior mistakes.
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 04:49 PM:
For goodness sakes do you think we can turn the ball over a few more times before this game is over?
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 04:50 PM:
The experienced players are making all of the mistakes!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 04:51 PM:
LEt's get one more scoring drive to end this half! We get the ball to start the second half!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 04:55 PM:
Woodson had little wide open over the middle and gets sacked for a 10 yard loss!
Posted by uncSUCKS (Member # 2148) on 12-31-2007, 04:59 PM:
we look absolutely horrible!
Posted by prophet (Member # 2089) on 12-31-2007, 05:01 PM:
Remember when UK looked like a well-coached, organized team? Now it's nearly like flag-football. Now intentional grounding! You just knew Seiber was going to miss that! What an absolutely awful performance! I'm glad I don't get to see the rest!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 05:04 PM:
Instead of going in the half up 3 we take the points off teh board and go in tied!!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 05:05 PM:
I really wanted to see a slow mo replay of that grounding call. It looked like the ball slipped out of woodsons hand when he went to throw the ball!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 05:06 PM:
We were playing those directional schools whenever we looked like a well coached team.
Woodson just hasn't looked comfortable since the multiple turnover game that he had against USC!!
Posted by Brandon (Member # 108) on 12-31-2007, 05:13 PM:
Offense's timing is off for UK. The defense is playing a great game. Woodyard should have his jersey retired at UK.
I would be giving the ball to Little about 60% of the time in the second half. UK should continue to throw those corner routes to Johnson. Keep the no huddle offense going as well. The FSU defense is getting tired.
Missing the FG might be a karma thing for FSU having the TD taken away on the interference call. I hate to say it, but that was a bad call by the refs as was both intentional grounding calls.
UK has been a second half team this year. They get the ball to start the half. Let's put the ball in the endzone to get things started.

!!
I don't think that Louisville, Arkansas, LSU were directional schools. We look bad today but let's not re-write the season history please.
Posted by eleem (Member # 884) on 12-31-2007, 05:15 PM:
On the interception where the noles scored, Leach
said burton was telling the team it was his fault.
He was supposed to run a time route and somehow
wasn't there. So it wasn't Woodson.

I think the offensive pass inteference was correct. Their receiver twice had his left forarm on Lindley pushing him away from the play creating an unfair advantage. However the intentional grounding call on the FSU quarterback was a bad call in my opinion.
Posted by eleem (Member # 884) on 12-31-2007, 05:17 PM:
We better be happy all the noles wasn't playing.
It's a dogfight anyway. But our depth should win
the game in the end. It's time to start using the
fresh backs.
Posted by Brandon (Member # 108) on 12-31-2007, 05:19 PM:
The rule says that the receiver has to create seperation from the defender. He has a right to defend his position. I didn't see that he created unfair separation.
Not that it mattered because FSU got the TD back on the interception anyway.
Posted by Brandon (Member # 108) on 12-31-2007, 05:23 PM:
FSU has most of their skill players on offense. I think if UK would put a blitz on the FSU QB he would make a lot of mistakes. When UK got some pressure on the guy, he made some bad throws that were either way to high or close to being intercepted.
UK's defense will be the one that decides who will win this game. The offense needs to follow the defenses lead.
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 05:27 PM:
Here we go to start the second half! Gotta play smarter this half!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 05:28 PM:
All of there point off of our TO's!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 05:30 PM:
We did absolutely nothing on our first possession of the ssecond half!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 05:53 PM:
nICE SCORE CATS!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 05:54 PM:
Gotta step up defense!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 05:55 PM:
Defense giving up too much ground
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 06:16 PM:
Cats should be up 17 points right now!!!
I wished to goodness that these announcers would quit making excuses for STATE!!!!
Posted by Tiptree (Member # 844) on 12-31-2007, 06:21 PM:
I wish they would shut up about state being short handed. It is part of football. Besides, they most definitely earned it!
If you substituted "Duke" for "Florida State", I might almost think I was listening to Dukie Vitale calling a basketball game. Shut up with the excuses and comment on the game.
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 06:22 PM:
Need to get a stop with 13:41 left in teh 4th.
Posted by bayer (Member # 462) on 12-31-2007, 06:22 PM:
Talking about FSU, I keep thinking about the blurb I saw the other day which said UK has either 5 or 6 4 or 5 star players out of HS. FSU has 56. They don't need any excuses.
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 06:23 PM:
Gotta do some crying cause they messed up!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 06:24 PM:
Nice defensive stop by Micah Johnson!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 06:26 PM:
Nice defensive stop, KENTUCKY!!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 06:32 PM:
Offense just doesn't play smart. Running out of bounds to stop the clock and then can't even get a first down, to sustain the drive!

I am aware the rule says separation, and I think the two left forearms infact did create separation. 'Unfair separation' as you stated is not really definable. Though it may hot have been a great deal of separation it looked to me like it was enough to make a difference and give the offensive receiver an advantage. Without the forearms he still may have caught the ball, but he may not have.

Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 07:11 PM:
1:25 left, cats up 7 3 down and 3 get a first down and this game is over!!
Posted by Tiptree (Member # 844) on 12-31-2007, 07:12 PM:
We sure are butter-fingered today. AND we have been darn lucky on a couple of those fumbles.
If we can just hold on to the ball and move it ever-so-gently down the field for another 3-4 plays, then the game is ours.
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 07:12 PM:
Florida State doesn't get charged with a timeout!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 07:13 PM:
This has to be one of the longest, as far as regular time, Bowl game I've seen in forever!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 07:14 PM:
We didn't get the first down!! Darn it!!!!!!
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 07:14 PM:
Do you go for the fake punt here?
Posted by Tiptree (Member # 844) on 12-31-2007, 07:14 PM:
All the whistles have made this a long, and herky-jerky game. Hard to get into any sort of rhythm when the whistle is blowing so often.
On the live action, Little just got tackled short of the first down. Announcers are speculating that UK will go for it on the first down due to field position.
I like that idea, but it is about a 1.5 yard gap that needs to be made. The punter is out...
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 12-31-2007, 07:16 PM:
Defense still has to make one more stop!!
Posted by Tiptree (Member # 844) on 12-31-2007, 07:16 PM:
Florida State gets the ball with 69 seconds left. Time for the "D" to get a stop.
Posted by Tiptree (Member # 844) on 12-31-2007, 07:16 PM:

ARRRRGH!!
FSU ball, 29 seconds left.
Posted by Tiptree (Member # 844) on 12-31-2007, 07:19 PM:
22 seconds.
Complete to Carr on the 40 yard line, but is tackled in bounds.
Weatherford kills the ball to stop the clock at 13 seconds.
Posted by Tiptree (Member # 844) on 12-31-2007, 07:21 PM:
8 seconds left.
Time for an FSU hail Mary.
Nope. Completion and out-of-bounds to kill the clock.
3 seconds left. NOW it is time for the Hail Mary!
