The Rose Bowl committee had first dabs at who they wanted and passed over Georgia in favor of Illinois. Give me a break. That game was absolutely horrible. I turned it at 14-0. Could Georgia beat SC? I say no but we will never know.
Heck, Missouri would have been a better selection than Illinois.
Now we are left wondering who really would win in a playoff system?
SC, Oklahoma, Georgia, LSU or OSU

While I don't disagree with your evaluation of Rose Bowl Committee you have to first understand and accept Trey Ball's comment elsewhere: the Bowls are all about money and that was the committee's first consideration. Second, no matter whom the committee chose it was not going to legitimize the failed BCS system. No matter how much fans complain and no matter how much the NCAA contends otherwise: filthy lucre dominates -- as it does nearly everywhere else of course.

Prophet, I dont disagree with that at all. And I totally understand. The bowls, especially the Rose Bowl are the reason we will not see a playoff format anytime soon.
I was just stating how frustrated I am and how it sucks. Not to mention how stupid they are for choosing Illinois over Georgia. Ga vs SC would have been the most watched bowl game so far. And maybe the best one played.

uncSucks: I heartily agree! SC vs Georgia would have been a damn fine game.
