Hell yea, my Hurricanes got Bill Young, the DC from Kansas!! I can't wait to see what this guy can do with Miami speed and talent if he can make Kansas a top4 defense.
Go Canes!!!

The last I checked, this is a UK fan site. I could care less about Miami. Maybe if they were in the SEC, I would have a slight interest, because UK would be playing them.

Correction: It is a UK / NCAA Football forum. Last time I checked, Miami was still in the NCAA.

you know what's funny? Miami has a better bball team than UK and UK has a better football team than Miami.
Not for long of course but it's weird. Both programs had coaches come in with all world talent and won Nat'l titles, then both coaches slowly ran the programs down. Both coaches left/fired last year and both now have new coaches in their first seasons, with growing pains, but success seems inevitable for both in the near future.
I was born in Ky but I've been a Canes fan for more than 20 years so forgive my excitement over getting the new DC, got a new WR coach today too, Aubrey Hill. My fandom has never been an issue because I don't think UK and the U have ever met in football or basketball.
Go Blue and da U

5 titles in the last 25 years. That's 2 more than UK. So who's *falling* Last title was in 01, got cheated out of a title in 02, that's still 3-4 years more recent than UK. Who has slipped more?
Larry Coker and Tubby Smith are both *nice guys* who do nothing unless they have someone else's players. [ 01-19-2008, 12:03 AM: Message edited by: viperz ]

A failing dynasty (basketball) IMO, but, thank God, Todd, Barnhart or the fans, it's now a rebuilding dynasty. [ 01-19-2008, 01:10 PM: Message edited by: prophet ]

Viperz,
You are not allowed to like the Hurricanes, it has to be UK everything, even if your sister graduated and her husband and most of your friends from UK and you live in Florida and like a Florida football team you most tell everyone that fact before posting anything, if not you are not a true fan and you are hiding something
I like it you like the Canes, thats why you are so anti-Tebow I couldn't figure it out for a while, did I mention I like the Gators, and that makes me a non-blue fan?
P.S. This is about a former post that has nothing to do with you, but I saw you get hammered for the liking of the Canes so I figured I would chime in.................
You guys need to improve quickly!

The Aggies, Basketball GNR? They are in the Sunbelt with the Toppers, when I was a kid I liked UK, WKU, and Pitt for some reason........
I don't like Pitt now, WKU, UK always have my heart maybe the Gator Fad will fade with time, don't think for a second though if my son attends UF I won't paint my house orange and blue
I want him to attend a close school I can't stand the thought of him and my daughter for that reason being far away from me, its a long way away but I love my babies!

Not going to be a super quick turnaround, will be 2-3 more years before we are challenging for National Titles again, but I love Randy Shannon. We got damn near the whole Miami Northwestern team coming to Miami.....top 5 class and Randy will work em hard. Canes will be back.
I don't have anything in particular against Florida (they haven't beaten Miami in 20+ years) but I got so sick of hearing about freaking Tebow LAST year. This year was worse! So many Florida grads around and they are the best team in the state right now, so lots of people representing UF.
I don't hold your mancrush against ya bro, you are ok in my book
