University of Louisville cornerback Rod Council was dismissed from the football team yesterday after he was arrested in connection with an armed robbery in his native North Carolina.
Council was being held on $50,000 bond last night in the Haywood County (N.C.) Detention Center on a charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Council, 22, is accused of robbing the Time Out Market in Jonathan Creek around 4:15 a.m. yesterday, Haywood County Sheriff's detective Matt Shell said.

I certainly am not a Louisvlle fan but admire their new coach. He is trying to weed out all the trouble makers along with the help of their actions that were signed by Bobby Petrino and approved by that goofy athletic director Tom Jurich.

The question I had when I read this story this morning was, "What was he doing out of school, in North Carolina, while school was in session?"
Seems like a fair question to me.

I had just stopped in to get a slushy and slim jim. Next thing I know here he comes. I quickly reached in and grabbed my cell phone and got this picture. Although there was no mention of it in the news media, he also stole my slim jim.

I read in the C-J this morning that he had been given permission to leave school to go to North Carolins to "take care of a family matter." The family must have been out of money and slim jims. I guess those boosters in Louisville don't participate in the $100 handshakes during the off-season.
